Grindcore band Pig Destroyer has announced that they will release an EP titled The Octagonal Stairway on August 28th. To accompany the announcement, the group released the music video for “The Cavalry”.
The EP will feature six tracks that were originally released as standalone singles or B-sides. The work is named after the 2013 song and includes "The Calvary" and "Camaraman," both from 2019. The second part of the EP features the previously unreleased tracks "News Channel 6," "Sound Walker," and "Head Cage," which is the name of the band's 2018 album but was not included in the tracklist.
The Octagonal Stairway will feature Iggor Cavalera , who contributed drums to "Sound Walker." The EP follows Head Cage , the band's last studio album and their first since Book Burner in 2012.
