Philip Anselmo made a white supremacist salute in California years ago
Philip Anselmo 's concerts in New Zealand were cancelled following the Christchurch mosque attacks.
Anselmo was scheduled to perform with his solo project, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, on March 26th and 27th. However, the shows were canceled, apparently due to an incident three years prior. On that occasion, Anselmo made a Nazi salute and uttered phrases associated with white supremacists during a concert in California.
The first show was to take place at Club Tavern, which released a statement: “Philip Anselmo’s show has been cancelled. We do not support white supremacy or racism.”
The second venue, Galatos, also announced the cancellation. "Galatos will not host the show. Today, information surfaced that made us uncomfortable about continuing with the performance."
