Rudd will still face drug possession charges

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd, who was charged with the attempted murder of two men , was cleared of the charges this morning. Rudd's lawyer, Paul Mabey, commented that the charges were dropped yesterday after a meeting between him and the police.

According to Mabey, there was insufficient evidence to charge Rudd. The attorney general confirmed the claim, saying the indictment should never have been filed.

Rudd was released on bail and is awaiting trial on charges of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, which will take place on July 27th.

AC/DC stated that they were unaware of the incident and that the events involving Rudd will not affect the release of the album "Rock Or Bust" on December 2nd or the band's tour plans.
