Rudd will respond to the charges on November 27th

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged in New Zealand with attempting to hire someone to kill two men. Rudd also faces charges of possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police searched his home this morning, and Rudd was charged and released on bail. The drummer is due back in court to answer the charges on November 27. No details have been released about the attempted murder, nor the identities of the victims, but the incident occurred in late September.

If found guilty, Rudd will face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

The drummer has been the subject of speculation since last month, when he failed to appear during the filming of the band's new music videos and did not appear in the promotional photo released .

AC/DC's new album, titled "Rock Or Bust," will have 11 tracks and will be released on December 2nd.
