Phil Rudd announces he will return to AC/DC

Musician comments on accusations for the first time

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd, who is facing charges of drug possession and making threats of murder in a New Zealand court, spoke for the first time about the allegations in an interview with ONE News.

The musician criticized the press, which focuses on the accusations and not on him personally: “This has become a big ball of cheese and all the rats are taking pieces, that's life. But this is not me. I want my job back, my reputation back, and I will get it back.”

Rudd spoke about his return to AC/DC, which hasn't yet been commented on by the band members: “I'm going back to work with AC/DC, no matter what they think. I'm a nice guy and a great guitarist. You can ask Angus, he'll tell you the same thing .

Although the attempted murder charge was quickly dropped, Rudd still faces charges of making threats of murder for allegedly threatening a man and his daughter with death in a phone call. The drummer returns to court on February 10th.
