The guitarist has been in Def Leppard since 1982

Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen had to leave his band's tour due to a family emergency. The exact reason has not yet been disclosed.

The band played last Friday, the 25th, in Hershey, United States, with Trixter guitarist Steve Brown filling in for Collen.

It is not yet known when Phil Collen, who has been in the band since 1982, will return to his duties.

In 2014, Steve Brown had already played in place of Vivian Campbell , who was battling cancer at the time.

Last month, Phil Collen stated that AC/DC should not record an album with Axl Rose .
