"It would need to be perfect, just like he was."

Nowadays, creating holograms for music icons is very common.

With a hologram of Ronnie James Dio currently touring and one of Frank Zappa in the works, many expect bands like Linkin Park and Pantera to do the same.

In an interview on Metal Wani, Phil Anselmo spoke about the possibility of Pantera reuniting and touring with a hologram of guitarist Dimebag Darrell: “If we’re going to do it, it needs to be perfect, just like he was every night. No matter how drunk he was, once the guitar was in his hands, he transformed into a machine, man. So it would need to be perfect.”

Anselmo also spoke about revisiting his time in Pantera in general, revealing that although he considers a reunion for the fans, he believes it needs to be for a special reason. “Going on stage with the name Pantera in the background and not seeing my brother Dimebag by my side would be… it’s impossible for me right now. I don’t see it happening. I have to admit – I’m completely torn about it. I’m confused about this issue ,” he confessed.

The musician is currently on tour promoting his latest solo album as Phillip H. Anselmo and his project with The Illegals.
