In an interview on the Talkhouse podcast, Mastodon members Troy Sanders and Bill Kelliher shared bathroom stories they experienced with vocalist Phil Anselmo.
Guitarist Kelliher began by saying: “Phil Anselmo is a genius, he’s very funny. He should be a comedian, I’m not kidding. He was in the bathroom with Troy once, and they were peeing next to each other. And then he turned around and said, ‘Hey buddy, look at my new tattoo.’ Troy looks and he’s just holding his penis. So stupid!”
Then Sanders continued the story: “I was peeing that same afternoon and he comes up behind me and just lowers his head to my waist, just his head, next to my penis and says 'your thing is bigger than usual' and just goes back and leaves. Was he trying to compliment me? Why would he do that? Good times.”
