"When I was young, Slayer changed my life."
Phil Anselmo, former vocalist of Pantera and currently in the bands Down, Scour, Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, and his most recent project called En Minor, spoke in an interview with Revolver magazine about Slayer's decision to retire.
“There are a lot of bands doing one last tour. That’s called smart business, to a certain extent. So, I’ll believe it if it happens.
When I was young, Slayer changed my life, so whatever they decide, all I can do is extend my love and admiration and wish them the best.”
Regarding the possibility of him and Kerry King doing something together, Phil says, "If Kerry King wants to make a record and it sounds cool, my door is always open."
