Phil Anselmo gives his first interview since Dimebash.

Check the statement.

Pantera frontman and current Down and Superjoint vocalist Phil Anselmo gave his first interview since Dimebash in January, when he made a Nazi salute and shouted "White Power," a slogan of the white supremacist movement . Speaking to Decibel magazine, Anselmo once again denied being racist, but took responsibility for what happened.

Check your statement:

“First and foremost, I take responsibility. I’m not dodging that. What I did was insulting, absolutely detestable because it really upset people, and it breaks my heart that anyone would think I am that dreaded ‘R’ word – racist. Anyone who knows me knows that’s just ridiculous. But if I offended my Jewish friends, people I work with, my colleagues, people in other bands… If I offended people in that way, that’s why I apologized. And that apology is there . And no, there won’t ever be another one.”

The vocalist also commented that it's "funny" that he's being accused of racism "considering I have a Mexican drummer and a half-black guitarist."

Once again, Anselmo justified the shout by saying he was drinking white wine backstage.
