Peter Criss , the original drummer for KISS , turned 76 at the end of December and decided to celebrate both his birthday and the arrival of a new year.

Criss pleased fans by posting two videos of himself playing drums. One is a "rock solo" and the other a "Spanish solo." The footage is of amateur quality and appears to have been recorded in a room in the drummer's house. Check it out below.

Peter Criss left KISS in 1980 and was replaced by Eric Singer . The drummer has worked with other bands and released solo projects since then, in addition to joining KISS twice more, in the 90s and in 2004, for two reunion tours.

In addition to playing drums, Criss also took on vocals for some of the band's most popular songs, such as "Beth," "Black Diamond," and "Hard Luck Woman.".
