Pete Way, bassist for UFO, dies at age 69.

The artist was a co-founder of Fastway with Eddie Clark of Motörhead, and toured with his friend Ozzy Osbourne.

Tragedy in the world of rock: legendary musician Pete Way died today, the 14th, at the age of 69.

UFO bassist Waysted , co-founder of Fastway with Eddie Clark of Motorhead , former bassist for Ozzy Osbourne's Speak of the Devil UK tour , one of the biggest influences on Steve Harris of Iron Maiden , a frequent bandmate of Bon Scott of AC/DC , and recently, founder and performer of the Pete Way Band , was battling injuries and wounds from an accident he suffered two months ago.

The official announcement of his death highlights Way's influence on the music world, particularly through his work with UFO and playing alongside close friends like Eddie and Ozzy. The post also reveals that Pete died surrounded by his wife, Jenny, and leaves behind two daughters, Zowie and Charlotte, and a younger brother, Neill.
