On September 10th, São Paulo will host a historic event for death metal fans. The iconic Burning House will welcome Pestilence and Cancer unique show in Brazil , as part of their " The True Faces of Death – Latin American Tour 2025" .
Formed in the Netherlands in 1986, Pestilence is one of the pioneers of European death metal. With classic albums such as Consuming Impulse (1989) and Testimony of the Ancients (1991), the band cemented its name alongside giants of the genre, blending technique and extreme heaviness. After some hiatuses and lineup changes, the group returned to activity and continues with the same intensity that made it a reference in the scene.
British band Cancer, formed in 1988, is also among the most respected names in the genre. With albums like To the Gory End (1990) and Death Shall Rise (1991), the band gained notoriety for its raw, direct, and violent sound, becoming an essential part of the first generation of UK death metal. In addition to their classics, the English band is expected to present material from their new album “Inverted World” (2025). After periods of hiatus, the group has returned to international tours, maintaining the ferocity and underground spirit in their live performances.
The show in São Paulo promises to bring together fans of all generations for a night celebrating the history of the genre. It will be the only chance to see these two icons sharing the stage in Brazil.
