About the Plague

Formed in 2014, the band currently consists of Thiago Cruz (vocals), Marcos Resende (guitar), Daniel Rocha (guitar), Anderson Vaca (bass), and Flávio Freitas (drums). Their sound is heavily influenced by artists such as Black Sabbath , Pentagram , Trouble , and Cathedral .

The group's discography began with the EP Here She Comes (2015), but still as a quartet. The debut album, Bring Out Your Dead (2016), was the first project with all five members.

In a 2021 interview with Wikimetal , Pesta commented on the strength of doom metal in Brazil: “In recent years we have felt a greater acceptance and interest from the public in the sound. I wouldn't know exactly how to explain the reasons, but I think that greater accessibility to new sounds via the internet has opened doors for new generations to become interested in both new and old bands.”
