When making this list, the temptation was enormous to include only albums by Iron Maiden , or Metallica , or Black Sabbath , or Judas Priest , or Led Zeppelin , or Deep Purple , or many other bands that have at least 11 perfect albums from beginning to end in their discography.
But following our rule of trying to fit as many bands as possible into just 11 slots (and therefore, not repeating bands), we arrived at the list below (and with a heavy heart to leave out so many perfect albums).
