The progressive metal band Pentral from Pará is back with a brand new show. Featuring top-notch production, the performance tells the stories that are part of their debut album " What Lies Ahead Of Us " and they are already preparing for a tour of Brazil and Latin America in the coming months.
The band continues with Victor Lima on guitars and vocals, his brother Vagner Lima on drums, and the newest member, Elder Queiroz, on bass.
The first show of the new Pentral lineup took place in September of this year at the Teatro Estação Gasômetro in Belém (PA). With a capacity of 400 people, the event was broadcast live via streaming on the Bandcamp to the entire world, considering that there is already a base of fans of the group's sound outside of Brazil.
"With a lot of effort and attention to detail, we managed to bring the essence of this first album to the stage – an enigmatic, impactful and intense atmosphere," comments Victor.
The album What Lies Ahead of Us tells the story of a couple who live with a child (their daughter) in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, and they all live under the threat of a beast – which, in reality, is humankind itself and its uncontrollable ambition, interested in destroying the forest and making money.
The woman has premonitions about a tragic ending, and eventually, they manage to escape when the invaders arrive. In the city, they have to deal with all sorts of problems typical of the dystopian society in which we live, such as racism, selfishness, prejudice, and indifference.
“We are happy because, in addition to being able to play in the city where we were born, thanks to technology, we can offer people all over the world a bit of the experience of performing the songs live. We hope to hold more in-person shows with audience interaction in Brazil and around the world,” adds Victor.
