The band also paid tribute to Tom Petty.
Last Friday, the 10th, Pearl Jam performed in their hometown of Seattle, in the United States, and paid tribute to Chris Cornell by singing "Missing," from the EP Poncier , released by the vocalist in 1992.
That same night, the band played Tom Petty as a tribute to the singer. Moments before the performance, Eddie Vedder shared memories with the audience of good times he spent with Petty.
“We’ll have these songs with us forever,” Vedder said, “and if there’s any possibility of him being out there somewhere… I’d like to tell him that… I miss him.” Visibly emotional, the vocalist asked everyone to join in the song and hold their phones high to create a sea of lights.
