Pearl Jam paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins on May 7th during a show in Inglewood, California. The band covered "Cold Day In The Sun," a song released in 2006 by the Foo Fighters , featuring Hawkins on vocals and Dave Grohl on drums.
To honor this exchange between vocalist and drummer, Matt Cameron , drummer of Pearl Jam, left his place to sing the track. Mark Guiliana and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers played percussion.
Taylor Hawkins died on March 25th in a hotel room in Colombia where he was scheduled to perform with the Foo Fighters . A toxicology report was performed on the musician, but it did not provide a conclusive result regarding the cause of death.
