The banner is a political protest against the American government

Pearl Jam has released its first new song since its last studio album, Lightning Bolt (2013).

“Can't Deny Me” features politically charged lyrics that criticize the current political situation in the United States. In it, vocalist Eddie Vedder sings: “The higher, the farther you can fly / You can be rich but you can't deny me / I have nothing but the will to survive / You can't control and you can't deny me.”

The track was accompanied by artwork depicting a protest in action, with the band's name written in black and "Can't Deny Me" prominently displayed on a sign held by a young activist.

The release was made available exclusively to Ten Club members, the band's official fan club. If you are a member, click here to listen to the track in its entirety. If you are not a member and are interested in joining, there are annual plans for $20 and $40 that grant access to the material.

Otherwise, you can check out a snippet of the track below. There is still no information about an official release, and it is unknown if "Can't Deny Me" will be part of a future Pearl Jam studio album.

In 2017, the band released a track titled "Obey The Law Of The Heart," but without Eddie Vedder on vocals. The new track was a collaboration between guitarist Stone Gossard and the band.

Pearl Jam will come to Brazil in March to perform at the Lollapalooza 2018 on Saturday the 24th. The band will also perform at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on March 21st, with Royal Blood opening.

Eddie Vedder will also be performing solo shows in São Paulo on March 28th, 29th, and 30th. More information can be found by clicking here.
