The bassist revealed that the band has already started recording.
In March of this year, Pearl Jam released their first single since Lightning Bolt (2013). “Can't Deny Me” delivered a political message and fit very well into the setlist of the shows in Brazil that the band recently performed.
The track was released as a single, but no other details about a new album from the band have been revealed so far. During a conversation on the Kyle Meredith With… , bassist Jeff Ament said that the release of Pearl Jam's 11th studio album should only happen in 2019.
Ament explained that the group hasn't finished recording all the tracks yet and that the safest course of action at this point is to plan for a release next year. "We only need six to eight weeks of studio work," he said, clarifying that while he and his bandmates are on tour, this process is off-limits.
In addition to his work with Pearl Jam, Jeff Ament is promoting his solo album Heaven & Hell , released on the 10th.
