Pearl Jam launches wine brand and sales sell out in record time

The limited edition sold out in 12 minutes

Pearl Jam launched its own limited-edition wine line that sold out in record time. The sale of the 450 cases was announced in an official band newsletter and sold out before most fans were even informed of the launch.

Each box sold for $150 (approximately R$560) and contained four bottles. Inside, there were illustrations of buildings from the cities of Seattle, Chicago, Boston, and Missoula, the four destinations of the group's upcoming tour, Home X Away .

The wine is a Syrah/Cabernet blend and was produced by the Underground Wine Project, a collaboration between Mark Ryan Winery and Sleight of Hand Cellars.

All proceeds from the sales will be donated to Pearl Jam's Vitalogy , which provides funding to NGOs that assist the community with health and environmental issues and support the local arts scene. The sale raised approximately $67,500 (approximately R$254).
