Pearl Jam releases the highly anticipated album 'Gigaton'; listen now

This is the group's first studio album since 2013

Pearl Jam released their album Gigaton , their first since Lightning Bolt in 2013.

During ten weeks of promotion and previews, the band released three of the twelve tracks from the album: "Dance of the Clairvoyants," "Superblood Wolfmoon," and "Quick Escape.".

Gigaton was produced by the band and Josh Evans , who also contributed keyboards to "River Cross" and "Buckle Up." This is Evans' first album as the group's producer, although he had previously worked with them as an engineer on some songs, such as "Can't Deny Me," released in 2018 as a standalone single, not part of any full album.

Days before the release of Gigaton , the band was preparing a North American tour to promote the album, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, they had to postpone the dates. A special listening session for fans was also scheduled to take place in theaters around the world on Wednesday the 25th, but for the same reason, the event was canceled.
