Roberto Medina , creator of Rock In Rio , has big plans for the 2022 edition of the festival and good news for rock fans!
In a new interview with Veja magazine , the event organizer revealed a number of new acts within the musical genre, without giving any hints or going into further detail. "We're going to announce three more specific rock acts," he said.
Postponed since 2020, the next edition of the mega-festival has already announced the bands Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dream Theater and Sepultura on the World Stage on September 2, 2022, the first day of Rock In Rio.
A few days after the interview, published in early October, journalist José Norberto Flesch reported that Pearl Jam and Guns N' Roses would be confirmed bands for the festival. Known for announcing international acts in Brazil in advance, he stated that Eddie Vedder Axl Rose 's band also slated for the second weekend of the event.
