In an interview, the drummer explained that he "was having some issues with the three-hour shows and the constant touring." The musician also revealed that he "wants to do a breathtaking 70-minute set, and that's what I'm focusing on now."

He stated: “I’m at a point in my life where I want to redirect my time and energy in a way that’s somewhat based on what I want to pursue as an artist right now. I’m also recording original music that I’ve been writing over the years.”.
