"Padecer" is the first album by the thrash metal band Payback , recently released by the label Black Hole Productions .
The band was founded in 2011 in Belo Horizonte and features musicians Daniel Tulher on bass and vocals, Nicolas Evangelista and Igor Gustavo on guitars, and Lilo William on drums.
The album features a thrash sound with heavy doses of hardcore and death metal across its eight tracks, including five new songs and three live versions of older, more requested tracks from their shows. Influences range from classic bands like Demolition Hammer , Kreator , and Razor to more current names such as Power Trip , Warbringer , and Havok .
For this project, the band already has three music videos produced: the first, for the song "Come Out to Play!" , recorded during a rehearsal; the second, for the song "Gado de Abate" ( , a humorous and biting parody of the stereotype of the "good citizen" and the "traditional family," widely disseminated by the right wing in Brazil; and the third, a lyric video for the song "Drowned In Mud ," which recalls stories of sadness, despair, and injustice from the tragedies of Mariana and Brumadinho, the biggest environmental and human crimes committed in Brazil.
