Paul Stanley , vocalist and guitarist of KISS , revealed that "I Was Made For Lovin' You", from the album
Dynasty (1979), is the greatest KISS song of all time.
Last Tuesday, the 26th, the guitarist wrote on his social media account X :
"The biggest Kiss song of all time is... 'I Was Made for Lovin' You' with 1.3 billion streams on Spotify by the end of August and approximately 850,000 daily streams!! Incredible and THANK YOU SO MUCH!"
Paul Stanley co-wrote the track “I Was Made For Lovin' You” with Desmond Child and Vini Poncia . Previously, Child said he was hurt when KISS publicly criticized the song because, although “I Was Made For Lovin' You” was a huge chart hit for KISS 40 years ago, fans defamed the track for disliking its disco style.

Talk Is Jericho podcast , Desmond Child said that he wrote "I Was Made For Lovin' You" with Paul Stanley after befriending the vocalist in the late 70s.
“I was experimenting with an electronic drum machine, and the idea of having dance beats with rock occurred to me. So, I kind of tricked him with this idea of a four-track dance beat on the dance floor with heavy guitars. Gene [ Simmons ] never believed it — he never liked it, and he still doesn't.”
He continued: “I remember when they recorded an album—I think it was 'Music From The Elder' [from 1981]—and they started giving hundreds of interviews saying, 'Well, this time, we're going to put guards at the door to keep Desmond Child out.' And I was very hurt. I called Paul and said, 'Paul, why don't you criticize your enemies, not the friends who put money in your pocket?' And he replied, 'Well, you know, that's Gene—not me.' Then, the next day, I came home and there was a message on my answering machine. And it was something like, 'Hi. It's Gene. Sorry.' And he hung up. [ Laughs ] That was his apology.”
Subsequently, Child and Simmons eventually reconciled. "After all these years, he has been an incredible friend, supporter, and actually a mentor," said Desmond Child.
