Recently, Paul Stanley used his Twitter profile to retract the way he spoke about producer Bob Ezrin , who was responsible for the album Destroyer (1976).

In the new two-part documentary, Biography: KISStory , Stanley referred to Ezrin as a "functional addict" and quickly took to social media to apologize for his poor choice of words.

“Words hurt,” wrote Paul Stanley. “In our documentary, I referred to my dear friend Bob Ezrin as a ‘functional addict’ while we were making Destroyer . I didn’t realize the impact of the word. Even if it wasn’t my intention, the pain and stigma associated with it are far-reaching. The statement was inaccurate, untrue, and I misspoke.”

The new KISS documentary premiered on A&E on June 27th and 28th and caused quite a stir due to the absence of Peter Criss and Ace Frehley .
