Paul Stanley underwent several surgeries throughout his life. The vocalist was born with an ear deformity and later suffered some injuries while fronting Kiss .

In a recent interview, the 69-year-old musician spoke about how his profession has left its mark on his body. “My rotator cuffs [in my shoulders] have been repaired. I tore my biceps tendon about a year and a half ago and that had to be surgically repaired,” he listed to Jim & Sam Video Interviews (via Blabbermouth ). “I tore the cartilage in both knees and I’ve already taken care of that. I had a hip replacement, God bless modern medicine and science. I’m good to [run] another 50,000 miles.”

Besides the blessings of medicine, Stanley cited that genetics also “plays a role” in his recovery. In April, the vocalist's father turned 101 in admirable health . “I hope those genes don't skip a generation,” he joked. “Most of my doctor and orthopedic surgeon friends say, ‘There aren't any 50- or 60-year-old basketball or football players, and you're out there on stage running back and forth with 18 kilos of equipment and jumping in the air, and your body is going to betray you at some point.’”
