Having recently turned 70, Paul Stanley has a series of shows ahead of him on Kiss 's farewell tour throughout 2022. How does he manage to keep going, even with injuries sustained from the shows , to this day?
In a 2014 interview, the musician spoke about the secret to staying in shape and continuing to do what he loves. “Obviously, you have to have a little discipline. When you’re young, you’re immortal and you feel like you’re going to live forever, that you’re going to survive anything,” he told Jason Genegabus .
“Then you get older, you realize it’s not quite like that and you start paying for the sins you’ve committed. So, at that point, I try to eat well, it’s common sense (…) and I like to exercise,” Stanley continued.
At the time, Paul Stanley was attending aerobic dance classes with his wife and confessed to a curious motivation. “The best part is that it’s all women, so your ego gets the better of you and I can’t stop. I might be dying, but I need to keep going,” he laughed.
Despite avoiding fried foods, for example, the musician doesn't believe in completely cutting out any food he really enjoys and refused when a doctor warned him to stop eating ice cream because of cholesterol. "Life is about enjoying it, and doing everything in moderation is your choice," he observed.
