Kiss postponed their show scheduled for Thursday, the 26th, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, after Paul Stanley tested positive for COVID-19 . Before the reason for the postponement was confirmed, fans waiting for the show heard rumors of a heart attack, but the vocalist quickly denied it on social media.

Comments questioning whether Stanley had suffered a heart attack were shared online. “Guys, I’m fine! I’m not in the ICU! My heart allows me to cycle 40 km a day! I don’t know where this came from, but it’s completely nonsensical,” he posted on Twitter.

In a statement, the band assured that the resumption of The End of The World Tour follows strict safety protocols to protect the health of everyone involved. "Everyone on the tour, both the band and the crew, is fully vaccinated. The band and their crew operated independently in a bubble to protect everyone as much as possible at each show and between shows."

After denying rumors about the reason for postponing the performance, Stanley gave more details about the diagnosis. “I was sick, with flu-like symptoms, I took tests repeatedly and they came back negative. In the late afternoon, I tested positive. Everyone on the team and [other members] of the band tested negative,” he commented.

At 69 years old, the vocalist received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in February . "So grateful and EXCITED, let's ALL stay as safe as possible and continue to take care of each other," he commented at the time.

The band returned to the stage last week and has only performed four shows so far. No information has yet been released regarding dates or whether future performances will be altered. Kiss's schedule was supposed to resume this Saturday, the 28th, and continue with one or two-day breaks next week.
