During an interview with German Rolling Stone Paul Stanley professed his love and admiration for Jimi Hendrix , calling him the "best rock guitarist" of all time.

The musician revealed his admiration for Hendrix while commenting on how rock, a genre with Black roots, is a territory dominated by white people, while soul is considered a musical genre more geared towards Black people.

“Well, I think that’s shallow and a way of generalizing. Without a doubt, the best rock guitarist was Jimi Hendrix. And there are many fantastic white people, for lack of a better word, who are soul singers (…) So, black, white… I don’t think music has a color,” he said.
