Paul McCartney will headline Glastonbury 2020.

Former Beatle will be part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the iconic British festival

Paul McCartney has been announced as the headliner for the Glastonbury festival, which will take place in Pilton, United Kingdom.

Sir McCartney will perform on June 27th for the second time in his career – the first was in 2004. The former Beatle will be the oldest artist to headline the event, at an incredible 77 years old.

The news was released last Monday, the 18th, by the event's organizers, and subsequently, the musician shared an image on his social media containing three photos: Philip Glass , Emma Stone , and Chuck Berry. The message is a montage with the names of these artists: Glass-Stone-Bury.

Alongside McCartney, Glastonbury 2020 will also feature Diana Ross , who will perform in the festival's traditional afternoon set. The full lineup should be announced soon.

Glastonbury 2020 will take place between June 24th and 28th at Worthy Farm, a venue that hosts over 210,000 people. This edition will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic British festival.
