Paul McCartney will release a new album and tour the UK in 2026. A source told The Sun newspaper that the Beatle is finishing the successor to McCartney III , which will be his first solo album in over five years.

“Paul has been working on the album all year and initially hoped it would be released by the end of this year. But as with most things, plans change. It’s not completely finished yet, but most of the album is ready and Paul is very proud of it,” a source told The Sun.

According to the newspaper, the 83-year-old musician is also planning to return to his homeland for a UK tour in 2026.

"As for live shows, he told the team that he wants to tour the UK again. So live shows next year are also in the works."

Currently, the musician has a tour in the United States starting on September 29th in Palm Desert, California, and ending on November 25th in Chicago.

McCartney is also preparing to release a book about his time in the band Wings , scheduled for release in November.
