During his stay in Brazil for shows on the Got Back Tour , Paul McCartney was presented with a shirt autographed by Pelé . Paul received the item shortly before performing his second show in São Paulo, on October 16th.

The shirt was originally signed in 2019 and was intended to be given to McCartney at the time, when he was on tour in the country . However, the two did not have the opportunity to meet in person. Pelé passed away in December 2022.

Five years after the signing, Pelé's longtime agent, Pepito Fornos , along with the player's sister, Luiza Nascimento , were responsible for delivering the jersey to its owner.

The shirt contains the message: “Paul, keep the ball rolling. I love you. Pelé.” Upon receiving the gift, Paul said the shirt was a “treasure.”

In addition to the shows in São Paulo , Paul also performed in Florianópolis, from where he will continue to Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico, and then go to Europe for the last shows of the tour on the continent. The Got Back Tour will have its last show on December 19th in London.
