Paul McCartney released this Friday, the 16th, a version of his most recent album, McCartney III, featuring covers and remixes by special guests.

For the project, the former Beatle invited artists from a wide variety of musical genres, including Idris Elba, Beck, St. Vincent, Blood Orange, Damon Albarn, Phoebe Bridgers, and more.

The new version goes against the grain of the previous release, which featured Macca playing all the instruments himself, concluding the trilogy of albums that includes McCartney (1970) and McCartney II (1980). On all three albums, Paul is responsible for all compositions, vocals, and instruments.

III Imagined is now available on streaming platforms and can be listened to in the player below via Spotify.
