The vocalist also invited Joe Walsh to join him for the show.
Paul McCartney invited his fellow Beatles member Ringo Starr to play some of the band's classics with him during a show in Los Angeles last Saturday, the 13th.
“We have a surprise for you,” McCartney said before inviting Starr to the stage, “Ladies and gentlemen, Ringo Starr.” After the audience reacted warmly, the duo began playing the introduction to “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” which was followed by the classic “Helter Skelter.”
At the end of the performance, Starr thanked the audience and McCartney, who bid farewell to his friend with "peace and love," a phrase the drummer always repeats. Then, Sir Paul invited Joe Walsh to play "The End." See videos of the performance below.
