Paul McCartney is the first billionaire musician in the United Kingdom, according to a list published this Friday, the 17th, by the British newspaper The Sunday Times .

Dubbed the Rich List , the list compiles the thousand wealthiest individuals or families residing in the United Kingdom, ranked by net worth. The list is updated annually in April and has been published as a supplement by the newspaper since 1989.

The legendary Beatle appears as the 165th richest person in the country, ranking between Russian businessman Vladimir Makhlai and the family of Chris Sheppard .

According to The Sunday Times , Paul's fortune increased by £50 million last year. This is possibly due to his Got Back —which included Australia, Mexico, and Brazil—and the lucrative value of his extensive discography.

Another factor that helped the musician reach this level is Beyoncé of the classic track he wrote in 1968, "Blackbird".

Who else is on the list besides Paul McCartney?

Besides McCartney, other names from the music world appear on the list. Elton John occupies the 291st position, with a fortune of 470 million pounds.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and her husband, the illustrious former footballer David Beckham , also made the ranking. Their fortune of £455 million secured the couple a place at number 297 in the ranking.

Finally, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber also appears, occupying the 282nd position, due to his wealth of £513 million.
