The ex-Beatle recreated the legendary photo that serves as the cover of the Abbey Road album

This Monday, the 23rd, Sir Paul McCartney will present an intimate set at the iconic Abbey Road studio in London, England, and upon arriving there he surprised fans by crossing the famous pedestrian crossing that leads to the venue.

The moment occurred on the eve of the 49th anniversary of the legendary photo that graced the cover of the Abbey Road (1969), where the Fab Four are seen crossing the zebra crossing.

The performance taking place today at the studio is part of the promotion for McCartney's solo album Egypt Station , which will be released on September 7th. Two songs from the new album have already been released.
