Paul McCartney invited Bruce Springsteen to join him on stage during a show in New York last Thursday, the 16th. The performance closed the North American leg of the former Beatle Got Back .

McCartney invited The Boss to perform Springsteen's 1984 classic "Glory Days" and The Beatles' "I Wanna Be Your Man" on stage at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, NY. The musician said the appearance was a "gift to himself." McCartney will turn 80 next Saturday, the 18th.

The last time the duo performed together was in 2012, at a show in Hyde Park, London. They sang "I Saw Her Standing There".

Later that same show, Jon Bon Jovi took to the stage to sing "Happy Birthday," anticipating McCartney's special day, complete with balloons and everything. See below.
