Paul Di'Anno thanks Brazilian fans for donations: "I feel like crying"

Former Iron Maiden vocalist sent a message to the cover band Children of the Beast.

The long-awaited treatment of Paul Di'Anno , former vocalist of Iron Maiden , has finally begun with the first surgery on his left knee, already showing results . Various initiatives by fans around the world to raise the remaining funds to cover medical expenses continue, including in Brazil.

The singer thanked the fundraising campaign organized by the Brazilian Maiden cover band Children of the Beast , which is recognized as a Maiden fan in Latin America and has been active since 1993, having accompanied Di'Anno on tour in Brazil.

The initiative raised a significant sum of R$ 11,400 in a live tribute concert held in October, featuring songs from Iron Maiden's first two albums. The band announced that the amount was enough to buy the wheelchair used by Di'Anno during his travels to Croatia for treatment. "This video gives us a sense of accomplishment, and everyone who participated in this campaign can share this feeling with us, because it was thanks to you that this was possible. Thanks to the unity of Paul Di'Anno and Iron Maiden fans," wrote the cover band.

In a video published on December 14th, Paul Di'Anno revealed plans to travel to Brazil in 2022 and expressed his excitement about the fans' support. “Hi everyone, to the guys from Children of the Beast and everyone in Brazil who contributed to this wonderful project you did for me, I really enjoyed it. I’m feeling a little tired today, but very grateful. I want to say thank you so much and I hope to see you all in Brazil next year,” Di'Anno began.

"It's very difficult, I don't even know what to say, because I feel like crying all the time because you are all wonderful. Thank you so much, see you soon. Much love and respect," she concluded.

Everything indicates a considerable improvement in the singer's health with the recent advances in treatment. Compared to the photo in which he appeared with swollen legs, generating worldwide commotion among concerned fans, Di'Anno's current condition seems promising, according to a photo published by the Iron Maiden Brasil Notícias (see below).
