Paul Di'Anno: Former Iron Maiden vocalist's surgery is scheduled.

The crowdfunding campaign to pay for the surgery has raised 60% of the total amount so far.

Paul Di'Anno , former vocalist of Iron Maiden , is closer than ever to undergoing his long-awaited knee surgery!

Confined to a wheelchair for years and suffering from severe pain due to multiple injuries to both knees, Di'Anno was awaiting treatment through the British public healthcare system, but fans around the world were moved by the most recent photo showing the musician's health .

The owner of the Cart & Horses bar, where Iron Maiden played some of their early shows, has been involved in a campaign to raise funds for Di'Anno's operations for some time. In a new update on social media, Kastro Pergjoni brought the good news.

"Here we go, fans and friends of Paul Di'Anno: The Beast [the singer's nickname] will be heading to the operating room on November 25th. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of and donated to the crowdfunding campaign so far, and to those who have booked shows and auctions for his future rehabilitation," she wrote . "Have a speedy recovery after surgery, Paul. We are praying."

The fundraising effort to cover the costs of the musician's double knee surgery has surpassed 60% of the remaining amount needed. In the first phase, £13,000 was raised, leaving only £15,000 to reach the total of £26,000 (approximately R$109,900 at the current exchange rate), after deducting the donation platform .

In Brazil, Manifesto Bar organized a national crowdfunding campaign to help the artist, seeking a total of R$ 100,000 in donations. So far, this crowdfunding campaign has reached 10% of its goal, with R$ 12,000 raised. Access it here .
