Patti Smith , punk icon and longtime friend of Bob Dylan, will be honoring the musician's 80th birthday at the Spring Festival in Kaatsbaan Cultural Park , Tivoli, New York – click here to learn more about the event.
The festival takes place over two weekends in May, from the 20th to the 23rd and from the 27th to the 30th. Patti's performance, in turn, will take place on the 22nd, two days before Dylan turns 80, according to the artist's official website. She will not be alone, and will have her bandmate, Tony Shanahan , to accompany her in the interpretations of the setlist that honors her friend, and also to recite some of his poems, states Rolling Stone .
