On the evening of Wednesday the 29th, Patti Smith fainted during a show at the Teatro Cultura Artística in São Paulo . On the morning of Thursday, she made a post reassuring her fans.
In the post, she appears smiling with the following caption: "This is to let everyone know I'm okay. A grossly exaggerated account is being spread by the press and social media. I had
post-migraine dizziness."
She continues: “I had a small incident, I left the stage and came back 10 minutes later and talked to people, told them I was okay and sang 'Wing' and 'Because The Night' for them. I was examined and was absolutely fine. Please don't accept any other account. With all the confusion in the world, this explainable incident doesn't deserve so much attention.”
He concluded by saying, “Thank you all for your concern. Trust me, I’m fine.”
Smith has another performance scheduled for this Thursday with musicians from the Soundwalk Collective . The vocalist's representatives released a statement:
"She is being cared for by the best doctors and staff. It was a very significant moment for everyone present," the statement said. "We thank Patti and the Soundwalk Collective for their care for the audience, and everyone for their support during this incident. As soon as we have information about tomorrow's performance, we will share it on our channels. We appreciate everyone's understanding" (via g1 ).
