This Sunday, the 3rd, we received the sad news of the passing of Patricia Perissinotto Kisser . Besides being a great woman, Patricia was extremely kind, beloved, generous, and created a wonderful family alongside one of the greatest Brazilian guitarists of all time, the brilliant Andreas Kisser.
I remember very well the day we lost our beloved Andre Matos , in June 2019. I was in Rio de Janeiro and had gone to the Montreux Jazz Festival , where Andreas Kisser was going to perform with other musicians, including bassist Luis Mariutti. Patrícia welcomed me to Andreas' dressing room with open arms, with all the affection in the world, and was very kind to me. I also remember speaking with her after I interviewed Yohan Kisser for Wikimetal Happy Hour and praising her for raising Yohan so well. As the doting mother she was, I think she was happy with the compliment.
In these difficult times, I can only imagine the pain of the Perissinotto Kisser family and I wish I could give them all a tight hug. Since that won't be possible, I leave my hug in the form of this text. I want to thank Patricia for sharing her family with us. It must not have been easy raising three children with her husband working so hard to bring the power of our music to the four corners of the planet. Thank you, Patricia, for sharing part of your husband's time so that we could continue to be proud of the talent of the great artist that is Andreas Kisser.
Congratulations on being such a wonderful mother! What a beautiful family you built, such good people, such special people. I think you ended up becoming a bit of a mother to everyone close to you, and for that I also thank you for sharing your big family with all of us. Besides Andreas, and the sensational Yohan, Giulia , and Enzo , Patrícia was also a bit of a mother to Paulo , Derrick , Eloy , and also to my dear friends Bill and Tom .
I know this is an extremely difficult time for all of you, Sepultura Family, but in times when some insensitive and heartless people write and post the most absurd things in the world on social media, it was beautiful to see the outpouring of love and respect that came from absolutely every corner of the planet for Patricia. I take this opportunity to also offer, through this brief text, my embrace, my friendship, my affection, and my respect to all of you and to this great woman.
