Among family and friends in the music industry, Andreas Kisser immortalizes the legacy of businesswoman and producer Patrícia Kisser with the second edition of Patfest .
The charity festival honors the life of Pati, who passed away in 2022 from colon cancer, with a gathering of legendary names in Brazilian music, such as Nando Reis , Samuel Rosa , Dinho Ouro Preto , Beto Lee, and others. On October 25th, the artists will come together at Audio in São Paulo, and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the NGO Comunidade Compassiva. “Patfest was conceived after my wife Patricia’s first phase of chemotherapy. She had asked for a party to celebrate, as it was a very positive and peaceful process. Unfortunately, there wasn’t time, as the disease returned quickly and she ended up passing away in July 2022. It was after her death that I organized the festival, as a celebration of Patricia’s life,” explains Andreas Kisser.
The curation of artists who are friends of the Kisser family and admirers of Pati makes up a line-up that reflects the businesswoman's trajectory. "This year is Patfest 2 , with the participation of several names from Brazilian music, from the roadie to the musician, after all, Patrícia connected many people and everyone participated with fantastic energy in the first edition," recalls the guitarist from Sepultura .
Hosted by Serginho Groisman , the event will feature performances by Amilcar Christófaro , André Frateschi , Antonio Frugiuele , Badauí , Bruna Viola , Beto Lee , Dinho Ouro Preto , Éder Chapolla , Eduardo Escalier , Egypsio , Enzo Kisser , Fábio Sá , Fernanda Leite , Fernando Nunes , Fi Ricardo , Fred Castro , Igor Godoi , João Ratos de Porão, Jean Dolabella, Jean Patton, Johnny Monster, Luís Fernando Luiz Carlini, Marcio Sanches, Marisa Orth, Nana Goes, Nando Reis, Paulo Miklos, Paulo Xisto, Paulo Zinner, Pedro Bandeira, PJ, Rafael Bittencourt, Rafael Mimi, Renato Zanuto, Rodrigo Luminatti, Samuel Rosa, Sol Carlini, Thiago Juliani Wysrah Moraes, and Yohan Kisser . Music has been a part of Pati's life throughout, so this is the best way to celebrate her life, with acts that, according to Andreas, "were on Patricia's playlist."
Furthermore, Patfest is also committed to breaking taboos related to death and grief. “We need to talk about death in a lighter way and not see it as a punishment, but as a natural stage of life. From there, we can open ourselves up to a much more intense and meaningful experience. One of the festival's objectives is to raise this discussion for the whole of society; it shouldn't remain only among healthcare professionals,” explains the guitarist.
After raising over R$90,000 in the first edition, this year Andreas chose the NGO Comunidade Compassiva. The initiative works in underprivileged communities in Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, providing support to vulnerable patients with irreversible conditions.
