“Dance Of The Clairvoyants”, the first single from Pearl Jam , Gigaton , was released on the 21st. Now, the track has a music video that highlights climate change.
Directed by Tim Bierman and Joel Edwards , the video uses intimate footage of the Pearl Jam members alongside scenes depicting Earth's climate emergency.
Gigaton will feature 12 unreleased tracks and was produced by Josh Evans alongside Pearl Jam. The cover art was created by Paul Nicklen , one of the world's most acclaimed nature photographers.
The term Gigaton is a unit of mass measurement equivalent to one billion tons. In climatology, it is used to estimate the amount of ice melting at the poles, an amount that has been increasing dramatically over the last twenty years.
