Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we don’t. But, I’ll tell you, this time we nailed it, man. I’m very happy. If we ever made a Grammy- , it was this one.”

According to Shaddix, the band got together in a house in Temecula for a month and immersed themselves in a daily rhythm of composing, recording, and editing music. “Many emotional barriers fell between us, and that resulted in great songs,” he says. “We shared some grief during the process and went through some things together, and in the end we thought, ‘Man, we went through heaven and hell making this record. We have something special.’”

According to bassist Tobin Esperance , the new Papa Roach album has 14 tracks and only "two or three" songs were left out.
