August arrived with new releases from Papa Roach . The band started the month by releasing the new single "Swerve," a rap metal track featuring Jason Aalon Butler , vocalist of Fever 333 , and Swedish rapper Sueco .
“Swerve” is a taste of what’s to come on Papa Roach’s 11th studio album, which, according to vocalist Jacoby Shaddix , is already finished and is “ the best album ” the band has ever made.
At the time, Shaddix mentioned that Papa Roach had finally managed to create a song that encompassed all the explosive sensations the band was looking for, and the new track “Swerve” seems to fit the vocalist's description perfectly. “Since the beginning of our career, we’ve been trying to write a song that would be both a lead single and the opening track for the album and the show – one of those songs that can be all of that – and it never worked out. Now, we’ve finally done it,” the singer revealed.
“Just wait and see. It’s like a mix of the curtain falling, confetti cannons, explosions, glitter flying in the sky – all together,” he added. Could “Swerve” be the mysterious song? Listen now:
