Papa Roach Ego Trip this Friday, the 8th, via New Noize Records in partnership with ADA Worldwide.

The new album, which has already had five singles released, arrives on streaming platforms charting "a fearless and unique path through a fourth decade" (via Blabbermouth ). Vocalist Jacoby Shaddix also expressed optimism, commenting that Ego Trip is "Grammy-worthy" .

In a video interview for Rock Sound, Shaddix gave more details about the meaning behind the title Ego Trip . According to the singer, the entire album is about "a journey through the ego," which he described almost as a spiritual battle between the best parts of himself and the darkest parts.

“I’m always challenging myself to become a better person,” he comments. “To treat myself better, to treat others better, to put other people first, but I have this part of me that is selfish and self-centered. It’s about this battle with the ego – who’s in control now? My evolved, more humble, spiritual, loving and understanding side, or the dark and selfish version of myself?”
