Papa Roach vocalist Jacoby Shaddix was asked in an interview with KLAQ radio why people always criticized Nu Metal. Shaddix said that the hate was generally directed at Limp Bizkit's frontman:
“A lot of people didn't like Fred Durst. Really, really. That was really bad. Everyone hated him. And he was kind of like, 'Why do you hate me?' He was the poster boy for the genre, so a lot of people directed their hate at him, it was very easy.”
I only have love and respect for him.
